Sponged Dry Embossed Card

Hi, everyone!

During my break at work today, I started imagining card ideas, and thought, "Wouldn't it be great if I can add a touch of color to dry embossed images?"

Hmmm.  Why not?  I couldn't wait to try it out when I got home (and of course, I was also working late today, of all days!).

I am so excited, I  just couldn't wait to share this card with all of you.  I snapped a photo as soon as I finished the card, I don't think the ink was even dry yet...

I ran my embossed my cardstock with an embossing folder and Big Shot, and used a sponge dauber and some distress inks to color the embossed images.

My sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Not bad for my first try, right?  This card reminds me of spring, which is around the corner (I have to keep telling myself that, especially since we are buried in snow and it's freezing cold here).

Mojo Monday 238 and An Update

Hello, everyone!

Thank you for being very patient with me.  I had been away for several weeks, because of health reasons.  I am now okay, but I'm waiting for some lab test results.  Hopefully, everything will be okay after that (fingers and toes crossed).

Mojo Monday 230

I'm really excited that it's Monday again, because that means there is a new sketch for Mojo Monday!

Here is the sketch that Julee came up with:

It's a two-for-one sketch -- we can pick to do a round card, or a square card.

I chose to do a square card:

This is a card that I've always wanted to make, every since I got the Language of Friendship stamp set.  Not only is it a beautiful stamp set, it also showcases how well Stampin' Up coordinates their products.  The Language of Friendship stamp set coordinates with the Bird Builder (117191)and the Boho Blossoms (119858) punches, has a sentiment, and allows two-step stamping.
