Stampin' Up Second Order

Quick post today.

Since it's almost the end of the month, I decided to take my husband up on his offer to buy me some Stampin' Up products.

I placed an order a couple of days ago, and I'm excitedly waiting for my stuff to arrive.  It will probably take at least a week for my order to get here.

It's a big order (slightly less than my first one), but don't worry, I did not ask my husband to pay for all of my stuff.  I paid for a portion of my order with money I've been saving for "fun stuff." :)

I can't wait to get my order and start creating! :D

If you want to share in my excitement by placing your own Stampin' Up order, please click here.  Click on "Shop Now" on the upper right hand corner of the page (when the new page opens up).

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!

Eventful

The past few days were very eventful for my husband and I.

Last Wednesday, we found out that the house that we'd rented in the past was for sale.  We really loved that house, and since buying a house had been at the back of our minds, we decided to go for it.

Last Thursday, we contacted an agent, a mortgage broker, and made arrangements to view the house.

Last Friday was my lab tests, and after I recovered, we met with our brand new agent to draw the papers to make the offer.

Last Saturday, we went to our childbirth class, and we got a phone call from our agent.  Unfortunately, it was not good news.  It turns out that we made the offer a few hours too late -- the seller had accepted an offer on Friday afternoon (during my blood tests).

Since it was a whirlwind thing, I was not hit by the disappointment until Sunday afternoon, when I started thinking about the house and where our baby's room will be... :(

Our agent offered to look for other houses in the area, but we really just made a quick decision to buy because it was THE house that we wanted for so long...

For right now, my husband and I are benching the idea of buying a house and focusing on getting ready for our baby, who is due to arrive in 9 weeks.

I made this card because I keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that we will still have a chance at the house (somehow).

I made the flowers using a 1 inch circle punch.  I punched 8 pieces of 1-inch circles, folded them into threes, and glued them together to make a flower.  Pretty neat, huh?

I used these products from Stampin' Up:
Faith in Nature stamp set (Hostess, Wood:  122490; Clear:  122492)
Calypso Coral classic ink pad (122939)
Pool Party card stock (122924)
Island Indigo card stock (122923
Whisper White card stock (100730)
Everyday Enchantment DSP (Sale-a-bration:  126154)

Mojo Monday 234

Hi, everyone!  Mojo Monday is Mojo Tuesday for me.  It seems I can never get a post up for the challenge on Monday itself...  Boo.

Here is the sketch for today's card:

Since this is the last Monday of the month, we get two sketches today -- one for a square card and one for a round/circle card.

I chose to make a square card:

I made this card because I was not feeling well after the lab tests last Friday.  The test took several hours, and I had to get blood drawn every hour.  After the first hour, I was feeling sick and nauseous...but I got through it without any major "incidents."  It helped that my husband came with me to the appointment.  I'm glad he was there, because each hour felt really looong.

My husband kept me entertained and kept my mind of things by promising to take me to several craft stores after the appointment.  He also said he will treat me to some Stampin' Up products. :D  Needless to say, I focused on that and kept thinking about the goodies I was going to get instead of focusing on my poor arms (which were really sore from the blood draw).

I used all these products from Stampin' Up:
Build a Blossom stamp set (Wood:  121923; Clear:  121994)
Word Play stamp set (Wood:  120308; Clear:  120651)
Melon Mambo classic ink pad (115656)
Concord Crush classic ink pad (119785)
Bashful Blue card stock (105120)
Pear Pizzazz card stock (119795)
Whisper White card stock (100730)
Cheerful Treat DSP (Hostess, 122381)
Blossom Petals Builder punch (121808)
1/2" Circle punch (119869)
Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-a-bration, 127279)
Snail adhesive (104332)
Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

Black and White Mini Note Cards and Envelopes

So happy it's Friday!

I have a doctor's appointment today, and another one scheduled on Monday.  Today will be blood tests, then Monday's will be the routine prenatal.  I'm a little worried about the lab tests -- it's never fun to get poked and prodded...wish me luck!

In any case, I made these mini note cards and envelopes to perk me up...and even in black and white (no pop of cheerful colors), these still made me smile!

Here is a closer view of each card and envelope:

Each note card measures 3"x3."

I had a lot of fun making these mini note cards.  It was a special treat to be able to use the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (comes with a stylus and 3 place markers to make easy score lines) and Simply Scored Diagonal Scoring Plate (which fits over the tool to make all sorts of cool and fancy envelopes, sold separately).  If you haven't ordered your own scoring tool and plate, don't miss out!  I'm loving these babies!

Here is the complete list of prodcuts I used:
Faith in Nature stamp set (Hostess -- Wood:  122490; Clear:  122492)
Basic Black classic ink pad (101179)
Whisper White card stock (100730)
Basic Black card stock (121045)
Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334)
Simply Scored Diagonal Plate (125586)
Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

All these products are available here.  Click on "Shop Now" to start shopping!  Enjoy!
